APRESENTAÇÃO

Na sequência da realização do 1º Encontro de Mestrandos em Estudos Africanos (EMEA), realizado em Outubro de 2012, terá lugar no ISCTE-IUL, de 20 a 29 de Março (vide programação em https://africa-em-analise.webnode.pt/) o EMDEA 2014, que terá com o objectivo a apresentação e discussão, inter pares, dos projectos de Tese de Mestrado e Doutoramento, ou das Teses já concluídas. Não sendo um evento avaliativo, pretende-se que este permita a cada um o contacto com a crítica construtiva que possa advir da discussão, bem como a criação de novas linhas de pensamento ou o enriquecimento do trabalho até então realizado. Pretende-se igualmente que se fique a conhecer o que de mais recente se investiga na área dos Estudos Africanos. A temática deste Encontro será, portanto, vasta uma vez que se espera poder abarcar todas as problemáticas, sendo que o tema a que se subordina será: ÁFRICA EM ANÁLISE.

OBJECTIVOS

O EMDEA 2014 tem por objectivos promover o encontro e a troca de experiências, opiniões e de trabalhos entre cientistas, estudantes e interessados no tema imenso que, por si só, é África.

LINHAS TEMÁTICAS

Serão aceites todas e quaisquer comunicações que abordem temas sobre África em todas as suas vertentes, bem como o tema sempre actual que são os Estudos Africanos e o seu futuro.

SUBMISSÃO DE PROPOSTAS DE COMUNICAÇÃO

Cada proposta deverá compreender título, resumo (250 palavras), 4 palavras-chave, além de um breve cv (200 palavras), filiação institucional e contacto de email.

DATAS IMPORTANTES

- As propostas de comunicação deverão ser entregues até 15 de Janeiro de 2014.

– A aceitação das comunicações será feita até 15 de Fevereiro de 2014.

– Os textos completos deverão ser entregues até 28 de Fevereiro de 2014.

LÍNGUAS

As línguas do evento serão o português, o castelhano, o francês e o inglês.

PUBLICAÇÃO DOS CONTRIBUTOS

Os artigos submetidos deverão seguir as seguintes normas editoriais: https://cea.iscte.pt/cadernos/assets/Normas_editoriais.pdf

O evento culminará com a edição de uma acta onde cada aluno terá oportunidade de publicar um excerto da sua apresentação, numa agregação de artigos que ficará disponível em plataformas online bem como na biblioteca do ISCTE-IUL.

Meeting of Masters and PhD students in African Studies (EMDEA 2014)

PRESENTATION

Following the completion of the 1st Meeting of M.Sc. in African Studies (EMEA) , held in October 2012 , will take place at ISCTE-Lisbon University Institute , 20-29 March (see schedule on https://africa-em-analise.webnode.en/) the EMDEA 2014 that will aim in the presentation and discussion, peer review of draft Master Thesis and Doctoral Thesis or already completed. Not being an evaluative event, it is intended that this allows each, contact with constructive criticism that may arise from the discussion, and the creation of new lines of thought or the enrichment of the work hitherto done. It is intended that every participant get to know what latest research is being done in the area of African Studies. The theme of this meeting will, therefore, be large since it intends to cover all the issues, being the subject to which it is subordinate: AFRICA IN REVIEW .

OBJECTIVES

The EMDEA 2014 aims to promote contact and exchange experiences, opinions and work among scientists, and students interested in the huge theme that, in itself, is Africa.

THEME LINES

Any and all communications that address topics on Africa in all its aspects, as well as the ever present theme of the African Studies and their future will be accepted.

SUBMISSION OF PROPOSALS FOR COMMUNICATION

Each proposal should include the title, abstract (250 words), 4 keywords, and a brief cv (200 words), institutional affiliation and contact email address.

IMPORTANT DATES

- Paper proposals should be submitted by January 15, 2014

- Acceptance of communications will be taken until February 15, 2014

- Full papers must be submitted by February 28, 2014

LANGUAGES

The languages ​​of the congress are Portuguese, Spanish, French and English.

PUBLICATION OF CONTRIBUTIONS

Articles submitted should follow the editorial guidelines:

The event will culminate with the publication of a report where each student will have opportunity to post an excerpt from his presentation, an aggregation of items that will be available on online platforms as well as the University Library.
